One of the ways the manager can quickly improve the economic results of the enterprise is through the increase in production effectiveness. Higher effectiveness means better utilization of existing sources of the enterprise – production lines – in this case. Utilization of production facilities can be measured by means of best-known production indicator – OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Our practical experience in evaluating the equipment effectiveness shows that, by far, not everything in this regard in the plants is optimal and that the effectiveness of the equipment often fluctuates.
In many cases is however possible, though appropriate measures, to increase production effectiveness.
How to measure equipment effectiveness?
Production effectiveness is supported by COMES OEE application (Czech version only)
